To help keep the Dakota Platform safe, secure, and compliant, your account may not be used to conduct any of the activities outlined below:
Unlawful Activity: Using the Dakota Ridge, Inc. services in ways that violate, or help others violate, applicable laws, regulations, or sanctions in the jurisdictions where we operate, including U.S. sanctions programs administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). This includes transactions involving the proceeds of unlawful activity, as well as creating, sharing, or distributing unlawful content or information.
Abusive or Harmful Activity: Activities that disrupt, damage, or place an unreasonable burden on Dakota Platform Inc systems or services. This includes introducing malware, attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems, using another person’s account without permission, or sharing or transferring account access without our approval.
Fraud or Misrepresentation: Any activity intended to deceive or mislead Dakota Ridge, Inc., our customers, or others. This includes providing false, inaccurate, or incomplete information when creating an account or using our services.
Gambling: Participating in or supporting gambling-related activities that are not permitted by applicable law or not authorized by a relevant regulatory authority. This includes lotteries, sports betting or odds making, fantasy sports with cash prizes, internet gaming, contests, sweepstakes, or other games of chance.
Intellectual Property Violations: Using Dakota Ridge, Inc. services in a way that infringes on the intellectual property or other proprietary rights of others, including copyrights, trademarks, rights of publicity or privacy, or similar legal protections.
In addition to the Prohibited Uses described above, certain types of businesses, business practices, and industries are not permitted on the Dakota Platform.
Adult Entertainment: Pornographic or obscene content, including explicit literature, images, or other media, as well as services involving sexually explicit activities, such as prostitution, escort services, pay-per-view adult content, or adult live chat features.
Financial Services (Crypto ATM’s): Businesses that operate or support cryptocurrency ATM services, including the deployment, management, or facilitation of crypto ATM’s that enable the buying, selling, or exchange of digital assets. Dakota Platform Inc does not support these activities and accounts may not be used in connection with such services.
Metal and Mineral (except Petroleum) Merchant Wholesalers: Businesses primarily engaged in the wholesale distribution, brokerage, or trading of metals or minerals (other than petroleum and petroleum products), including ores, concentrates, and refined materials.
Weapons; Chemical Manufacturing & Development: Businesses primarily engaged in the manufacture, sale, distribution, or development of weapons, as well as the manufacturing, processing, formulation, distribution, or development of chemicals, are prohibited. This includes industrial, laboratory, synthetic, or specialty chemicals, and any activities involving hazardous, toxic, controlled, or otherwise regulated substances.
Cannabis (Legal & Illegal) and Cannabis-Related Industries: Businesses directly or indirectly engaged in the cultivation, production, processing, distribution, sale, or marketing of cannabis or cannabis-derived products are prohibited, regardless of whether such activities are permitted under applicable local or state law. This includes, but is not limited to, marijuana, THC-containing products, CBD products derived from cannabis, cannabis extracts, and any related paraphernalia.
Jewelry, Silverware & Precious Stone Retailers, Wholesalers & Manufacturing: Businesses engaged in the retail sale, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, or processing of jewelry, silverware, or precious stones, including diamonds, gemstones, and similar items. Dakota Ridge, Inc. does not support accounts used in connection with these activities.
High risk businesses: Any businesses that we believe present elevated financial, regulatory, or legal risk, or that are restricted by the requirements or policies of our banking partners or service providers.
Dakota reserves the right to decline applications or close existing accounts, without notice, that it suspects are engaged in the business uses or activities described above. These examples are intended to be illustrative and may not be exhaustive.
